My dog barked excessively at every single sound and every single person and animal that passed by the house, or the car when she goes on car rides. I still wanted her to be a dog and be able to vocalize just like we are able to, just not so prolonged and unwarranted. I used the device whenever she barked excessively, which made her stop immediately. Then I followed up using positive reinforcement immediately after she stopped barking. So far, it has worked great! Her barking has significantly subsided. I haven't tried this device to deter other dogs as I haven't had the need to, nor would I want to distress my dog as I'm sure the level II sound wave is extremely distressful.

I have bought a couple of these but my dogs didn’t pay any attention. It’s hard for a human to know if it works because we can’t hear it... I decided to try one more and found out that this one really works! I still can’t hear it but my dogs respond quickly - this is a 5star buy for me!
I actually gave this to a friend that has a new pup because she is so rambunctious, but I have ordered another one for us. My dogs are seniors and one of them would bark at everything that came on tv that she didn't like, so I bought this and only had to use it a few time and she calmed down. But it has been a couple of months and she is forgetting so I have another one coming so my friend can keep the other one for his dog.

Really works. Our dogs used to bark at the trees blowing in the wind. Now they recognize the mailman, trash-man, and most of the neighbors and know they are allowed on our street.
