This is such a great cat feeder. You can set it to just about any amount as well as four feeding times. Initially my cat was a scared of it and I had to erase the voice on it but after that as soon as he heard the noise he is running for the kitchen.
I love the fact that the portion size is fairly small. Our cat can only have half a cup of food a day, so we need to be able to divide it into the four feedings. Also, this feeder does not drop huge amounts of food when I open the lid to refill it. It is much sturdier.
I'm so glad I made this purchase. Makes feeding time an almost chore-less task. I say almost because sometimes she gets wet food.
I seriously love this thing. It's so easy to set up and it fits the perfect amount of food in the storage. It definitely helps if you work odd shifts. My cats have learned what time it goes off and they sit there for a few minutes waiting for their food to come out.I also have an obese cat, so this has truly helped with portion sizing and keeping her on a strict schedule.The bowl is really shallow, so if you have issues with your cats vomiting from eating too fast, this product will help with that too!
I wish we would have gotten this sooner. It allows us to control the time and portions our cat gets fed, which means she doesn’t beg anymore. And she has stopped waking us up in the morning for food (now she does it just for attention lol). The only complaint in design is the shallow plastic dish that acts as a slide to catapult bits of food over the edge. Most of the food stays in the dish though, so I would still buy it again! We put batteries in too as a backup since we often get storms that cause our power to flicker.
